Best Culinary SchoolsLooking for the best culinary schools? There are, of course, many culinary schools throughout the world. While many top chefs could probably quickly come up with their list of the best, most respected culinary schools, often selecting the best culinary schools may also be a selection of personal preference and cultural fondness. With so many styles of cooking, you may have to qualify the top school list by saying the "Best French Culinary Schools" or the "Best Italian Culinary Schools", etc.
So, what's the criteria for making the "Best Culinary School" List? 1) Good Word of Mouth Talk to as many working chefs as you can that are working in type of restaurant you'd like to work in. Ask them which schools they attended, or which schools they've heard great things about. If certain culinary school names keep popping up, they should certainly be on your "best school" list! 2) Graduate Support OK, so you've learned how to cook - now what? Culinary Schools that offer great post-graduation support get high marks. Support may include resume preparation, job placement, professional networking events, etc. 3) Good Tuition-To-Placement Ratio If the culinary school has a reasonable tuition and high placement track-record, that's great! Don't just choose a school based soley on name value alone. In other words, don't get blinded by the name when choosing your best culinary school. Rather, stay calm and base your decision on the facts.
